Code of Conduct 

  1. Chaperones are strictly responsible for their students at all times and must enforce their own curfew and behavior expectations
  2. Respect all workshop presenters and attendees
  3. Respect hotel grounds and hotel staff 
  4. To Assist the hotel in minimizing noise complaints, we strongly suggest a 10 pm curfew for all attendees. Please ensure your group is keeping noise down to a minimum and are in their rooms by 10 pm.
  5. Cell Phones are prohibited during the conference, especially during the workshops and keynote speakers
  6. No gum
  7. All attendees are required to stay on hotel grounds at all times

For those staying in Hotel Murano – please remind your students that extra charges are incurred by consuming the snacks and drinks provided by the hotel in the rooms and will be charged to the school.

Friday

Schools are required to coordinate their own transportation to Olympia, Friday, March 29th, even if your school is staying at Hotel Murano. LEAP does not provide transportation to the State Capitol. Buses can drop students off using the circle around the Winged Victory Monument in front of the legislative building. Ambassadors will meet you near the monument, so look for your district’s Ambassador. We ask all groups to arrive in Olympia no later than 8:45 am.

All other attendees please go straight to Olympia arrive no later than 8:45 am. 

Dress code for Friday:

Business professional for all conference attendees, but please remind students to wear comfortable walking shoes. Students may also wish to dress formally for the scholarship dinner on Friday and for Noche Cultural.
